Where did the time go? Our Mesquite Western Roundup took place in February 2025, and now it's already June! We appreciate those who attended, and for those who couldn't make it, we hope to see you in 2026! This year's Roundup had several changes compared to previous years. We hosted the event at a new venue, the Virgin Valley High School Theatre. It's a larger space, and we aimed to draw a bigger audience with two shows instead of three. This was a cost-saving measure to continue providing scholarships to local high school seniors. Our attendance for the two shows was quite similar to the previous three-show attendance. We realized we fell short in pre-show advertising of our new location, and we received feedback about this from many attendees.

The musical entertainment we enjoyed was exceptional. The Piano Guy, our pre-show performer, was incredible. Robin Arnold, our main act, delighted the audience with his Marty Robbins Tribute. Leo Black made his first appearance as our Emcee. Additionally, our poets BT Bugland, Steve Campbell, Jim Parsons, Kathy Smith, and Russ Westwood delivered a mix humorous and serious, cowboy and cowgirl poetry, transporting us to simpler times and celebrating our Western heritage.

Overall, despite a visit to the emergency room right after the event, we all concurred that we should continue to set the stage in 2026. Keep an eye out for updates on the date and location...
