We are still busy celebrating poetry, and in our case, cowboy poetry. We had a wonderful turnout at the St. George Library on April 19th. We'd like to thank everyone who attended the event and hope you had as good of time as we did!
We were joined by Marlene, Lee, and Hap who added a wonderful dimension to the program. Kathy used some historical photos with a poem about an Arizona Cowgirl, who happened to be her great grandmother. Marlene shared an outstanding video poem from her website, https://marleenbussma.com/. Robin had the crowd in stiches with his rendition of "Side By Side". Bruce introduced a new poem about a medical emergency, while Lee and Hap had us laughing and smiling with their own brand of cowboy humor. It was so nice to see Lee and Hap performing again!
Lee, Kathy, Robin, Marlene and Bruce. But where's Hap??
We are joining one more celebration to end the month. We will be performing from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Washington Heritage Days. All the details can be found on our website, mesquitewesternpoets.com. It looks to be a great celebration with something planned for all ages!
