On April 29, the Mesquite Western Poets joined Washington City in celebrating Washington City Cotton Days. We were in the most beautiful garden setting at the Relief Society Hall. Marlene Bussma, Kathy Smith, Russ Westwood and Robin Arnold entertained the crowd with cowboy music and poetry. We missed BT Bugland and hope he is feeling better now. Our thanks to Washington City for the wonderful event sponsored by Washington City Arts Council, Washington City Historical Society, Grand Canyon Quilters, and the Southern Utah Weavers.
In May and June many of our group poets and musicians head to "cooler" pastures while others do a bit of traveling and visiting family. All the while, we are working on new material to entertain our audiences at future events. Enjoy your summer days, and we hope to see you at an event soon!
